Your logo's journey from digital file to printed masterpiece is not always straightforward. Follow the guidelines below for the easiest, fastest, and most cost-effective production of your product decorations.

Please note that once your artwork files have successfully made it through the proofing process, any subsequent revisions will require us to repeat that process for any replacement files - and will incur revision charges for each file that we have to re-work. So it's critically important that you check your artwork for accuracy before submitting them to us.

Additionally, please check all artwork for spelling or typing mistakes – we do NOT proofread artwork.

What Kinds Of Proofs Do You Offer?

All Production Orders receive one emailed .jpeg image proof at no charge. We never go into production unless you've specifically approved the emailed proofs - this is our only way of knowing we've correctly interpreted your instructions and implemented the latest approved artwork files for your order. Hence, it's critical that you check the images carefully - we can take no responsibility for errors that you didn't pick up in the proofing process.

Important note: Image proofs are for you to verify content only and should not be considered a reliable way to check colors. Computer screens display colors differently than printers do, and even different models of printer can produce variations in color.

File Types

Our primary preferred file type is .AI (Adobe Illustrator native format). We also accept .EPS .PDF .SVG and (if necessary) .PSD Photoshop files. If you need help arriving at the correct format, contact us and we'll try to assist. We can often work with other file formats too, but feel free to send us a sample file in advance to save time when you order.

For best results, a vector based design file (.ai .eps .svg or a .pdf with saved vectors) is preferred for our equipment as this format preserves the sharpness and quality of fonts, shapes of design elements, and is near infinitely scalable due to how it is selection of data points and their relative distance to each other, and not static pixels. So, for commercial print purposes, especially whenever textual content is involved (like labels) Illustrator will almost always achieve a better result.

Conversely, Photoshop is a raster based program meaning it depicts designs defined by a grid a pixels; similar to that of your screen or the dots printed from your printer. This can cause issues when going to scale art up in size as this can pixelate the content noticeably. While not ideal, it is certainly possible to use Photoshop for some elements of the design, but the results should be imported into Illustrator if possible - which is the best platform for commercial printing applications. If necessary please provide any Photoshop .psd or image files saved at a 300 DPI resolution. Note - higher resolutions above 300 DPI do not produce better printed results, but lower resolutions can produce less than ideal results when printed.

Color

For best results, all label files should be designed and submitted in CMYK (not RGB) – otherwise automatic color conversion within our print software may occur when we send the files to print and significant color shifts can occur.

For color matching your design files should be designed and submitted in PMS (Pantone Matching System) Solid Coated color library within the 3 digit range as that is the within the capabilities of our printing equipment. Please ensure that your specified swatch ends with a "C" designation as this defines it as a Solid Coated swatch.

Embedded Images

Whenever designing your artwork for printing, please make sure any assets linked within your file are embedded before sending our way or provided as a separate file for us to link on our end. I that is not done during the design process we will receive a file that on our end, will not have the highest quality full resolution file for your artwork to print out. If using Photoshop to design your print, as mentioned previously in the file formats section, photoshop or image files should be created at 300 DPI resolution.

Note - higher resolutions above 300 DPI do not produce better printed results, but lower resolutions can produce less than ideal results when printed.

Imprint/Label Dimensions (Sizing)

All artwork should be created using Imperial measurements (i.e. inches) and dimensions as laid out for each product in their respective template. You can find all our available templates at the bottom section of this page.

Labeling

Bleeds should be included (1/16" or 0.0625" on all sides) where appropriate. A bleed is where the background design or color carries beyond the edge of the label, a critical component to allow for minor shifts during the cutting process.

A safe area for the main artwork should also be taken into account. Please design with an border of space of 1/16" (0.0625") between the die line (cut edge) and the important artwork in order to mitigate any of the design to be too close to the edge.

Fonts

All Fonts should be outlined (or flattened) – please do not send live editable text in with your files. If needed and you have the font files available to you, we can accept files without outlined text if the original font files (.ttf or .otf) are provided to install on our workstations.

Accuracy

Please make sure you provide the latest, most up to date design elements, barcodes, QR codes, and any other sensitive information you require on your final design. Review all aspects of your design are accurate to your final product expectations before submitting it to us.

Trademark Symbols Minimum Sizing

In regards to printing trademarked logos, we have a set minimum recommended size for these markings for best legibility on our equipment. If possible we suggest a final size of .072" W x .072" H or .072" Dia. . Any smaller than this recommended size, we can not guarantee legibility and are not liable for any breach in branding guidelines.

Artwork Authorization

Bath Promotions assumes that when artwork has been submitted for reproduction in producing an order, that this artwork was submitted in full compliance with the laws governing copyrights, trademarks, and intellectual property. When you place an order or custom sample request with Bath Promotions, you represent and warrant that you have authority to order, purchase and distribute Bath Promotions promotional products with the names, copyrights, logos, scents, flavors, and colors as stated on your order or sample request. You also consent to indemnify, defend and absolve Bath Promotions and its affiliates from and against all claims, expenses and liabilities. This would include legal fees related to actual or alleged infringement or misappropriation of any copyright, trademark or other proprietary right of such merchandise and will remain in effect after delivery of your order.
